Introduction & Auto Shop
Safety

Students will identify general shop safety rules and procedures, proper use of procedures for safe lift operation, shop equipment, cleaning equipment and methods.  This course is also meant to help students identify sources of service information, appropriate clothing for lab/shop activities, and standard and metric designation. Location of MSDS is also discussed

Engine Repair

This course will teach students how to inspect engine assembly for fuel, oil, coolant, & other leaks and determine necessary action as well as how to test coolant; drain and recover coolant; flush and refill cooling system, and replacing timing belt and head gaskets. Students will learn Engine Removal and Disassembly, and Piston, Piston Rings, Connecting Rod, and Engine Balancing.

Manual Transmission & Transaxle

This course will teach students Clutch Diagnosis and Service, Manuel Transmission Overview, Automatic Transmission Diagnosis Repair, Driveline Repair and Service and Front Wheel Drive Service

Suspension & Steering

Students will learn the function of each suspension system component, how to identify steering problems by inspecting the condition of the steering system, and perform two and four wheel alignment on laser a machine while making necessary  adjustments

Brakes

This course will teach students how to diagnose Antilock Brakes (ABS) and Traction Stability, Replace and Refinish Brakes and Rotors, Bleed and inspect the complete Brake system.

Electrical/Electronic Systems

This course is designed to teach Basic electrical/electronic systems Theory and Repairs. Automotive Charging System, Ignition Systems, Lighting and Wiring Diagrams and Troubleshooting electrical problems. Student will also study Ohm's Law

Heating & Air Conditioning

Upon completion of this course, the student will have a full understanding of the function sensors, actuators and computer memory. They will also know how to test, inspect, service, repair and replace any part within the system.

Engine Performance

This course will teach students how to diagnose the cause of the vehicle problem before performing a repair. Engine Diagnosis: Cylinder Head and Valve Train, Engine Diagnosis: Block, Crankshaft, Bearings, and Lubrication Systems

Hybrid Drive System Operation and Repair (Intro)

This course teaches students to identify the major parts of a hybrid drive system and the most common problems that occur in a hybrid vehicle drive system. Students will understand how to explain the construction and operation of hybrid drive assemblies use on-board diagnostics to find the source of problems in hybrid vehicle propulsion systems.

Intro to Auto Body Repair & Refinishing

Provides an introduction to what constitutes a collision as interpreted by the insurance industry. The content in this course also demonstrates methodology for estimating, repairing or replacing of various components and refinishing of the vehicle; use and safety of different equipment both heavy and light duty.

Minor Body Repair

Introduces the student to basic sheet metal manipulation. Use of fillers and how to repair plastics is also taught in this course. Content also includes demonstrations with actual hands-on training to reinforce fundamentals learned in the classroom, this course also includes adhesive repair.

Major Body and Frame Repair

Students will learn how to do proper fame measuring and interpreting readings to correct damage, use of proper equipment to manipulate the frame back into proper alignment.

Basic Mechanical & Electrical Service

This course covers basic mechanical, suspension and chassis service, alignment theory and practical application including aftermarket alignment aids, introduction to basic electrical and electronics operation and service, and in-shop demonstrations with actual hands-on training to reinforce fundamentals leaned in the classroom.

Auto Body Painting & Refinishing

The students will be able to demonstrate proper preparation and technique for refinishing. This course introduces the student to the various types of refinishing products as well as the proper application. Color matching and custom painting, in-shop demonstrations with hands-on training to reinforce fundamentals are also learned in this course.
